Assistant Professor of Engineering Ethics

Penn State Great Valley's Engineering Division is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor in Engineering Ethics, tenure-track appointment. Qualifications: an earned Ph.D. by the time of employment/appointment in the field of Engineering, Science or Philosophy or related field and a record of ethics-related research in engineering or technology. At least 6 mos. of prior teaching experience is required. The successful candidate will contribute to our graduate programs covering areas of engineering management, data analytics and artificial intelligence. Responsibilities include teaching both on-campus and online, development of courses and programs, and research in areas related to engineering, machine learning, social impact of artificial intelligence (AI), or data privacy. Applications will be reviewed starting November 2019. The position will be available for Fall 2020. The search will remain open until the position is filled. Located 20 miles northwest of Philadelphia, the Penn State School of Graduate Professional Studies at Great Valley is a special mission campus of The Pennsylvania State University.
