Responsibilities

Salary Budgeted $110,000 to $125,000, depending upon experience.

As a member of the Facilities Services Leadership Team, this position supports the college's mission to educate by ensuring the physical sustainability of the campus through the management and support of all utilities, long and short range planning to address deferred maintenance, implementing preventative maintenance schedules preventing critical failures, and working to improve the efficiencies of each system. This role requires a strong technical background with the ability to manage a team of support staff and operating budget

  • Daily management and support of utilities (HVAC, electrical, gas, water, and sewer infrastructure).
  • Leading, managing, and supporting the team of trades staff and outside contractors.
  • Long and short range planning. Tracking equipment life cycles, maintenance schedules, budget management, utility usage, and workflow.
  • Emergency and crisis management - management in outages, natural disasters, and other major events that impact the community as needed.


Experience and Qualifications

Education (e.g., High school diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's)

Required: Bachelor's in related field

Preferred: Degree in Engineering

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years technical experience (e.g., engineering, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, sustainability).


3-5 yrs experience leading and managing teams.

Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of building codes, technical understandings, basic computer skills, data management, and understanding of equipment controls.

Other Requirements: (e.g., travel, weekend/evening work):

On call, some weekends and evenings, limited travel.
