LC State College invites applications for the Electronics Engineering Technology Program Coordinator in the Division of Career and Technical Education.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications, up to $50,000.

Lewis-Clark State College is seeking an individual to be a program coordinator within the Industrial Electronics Technology program, including co-teaching courses. Applicants must have marketing/advertising/recruiting experience. Applicants must have at least 8-years of current experience in Industrial Electronics; or possess an AAS degree in a related field with 5-years of current experience; or a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3-years of current experience. Qualifications must include demonstrated mastery of DC and AC circuit fundamentals, semiconductors and digital electronic theory, with documented work experience in polyphase power systems, power electronics, data acquisition, data communication networks, industrial instrumentation, RF systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and/or embedded microprocessor systems. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to convey complex technical concepts in relatable terms, logically reason from first principles, and reliably assess whether a learner understands. The applicant's history must demonstrate a commitment to professional values and service consistent with our purpose of transforming lives through education. In addition, applicants will need to attain Idaho teaching certification within the first three years of work, practice proper safety protocol, and follow school policies. Applicants must be willing to consider non-traditional teaching styles and times, such as inverted (flipped) instruction, project-based learning, Socratic inquiry, online, hybrid, and evening or weekend classes.

Responsibilities:

Recruiting (55%)
The primary function of this position will be to develop partnerships with local industries and regional schools, recruit students into the Industrial Electronics Technology program, and implement ways to retain students for successful completion of the program. The position will help develop marketing material, attend recruiting events, visit region high schools, and meet with prospective students. This position will serve as the liaison between marketing, industry, public schools, and the program faculty. This position will work closely with the CTE program assistant and LCSC Admissions staff in recruiting efforts and coordination. The program coordinator will oversee and maintain the program budget, and contribute to college-wide goals and activities by serving on committees and other institutional activities.

Co-teaching (45%)
With the oversight of the current instructor, the candidate will assist in the instruction and supervision of students in the Industrial Electronics Technology program. The candidate will help develop, plan, implement, and revise programs and courses, curriculum, and lesson plans. In addition, this position will help evaluate student progress in attaining goals and objectives; maintain lab equipment and program/personal certification requirements; attend faculty and educational meetings. Applicants must complete CTE teacher training courses for Idaho Teaching Certification during the first three years of hire. Non-standard hours and online or hybrid instruction may be required.
