What We Are Looking For

The Mechanical Engineering Department is looking for a Senior Research Engineer who will support the University's mission by performing laboratory/research-related tasks.

An Doctoral Degree, 5 years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith is required.

All applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct laboratory experiments in developing additive friction stir deposition process conditions
  • Characterize microstructure of additive friction stir deposition manufactured samples
  • Perform mechanical testing of additive friction stir deposition manufactured
  • Use engineering and material science knowledge to design lightweight expeditionary extruded components or additive friction stir deposition structures
  • Write journal papers based on research results
  • Write proposals for to secure external funding
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
