POSITION SUMMARY

The Plumber / Assistant Water/Sewer Systems Specialist is responsible to repair and maintain all plumbing systems in and around all campus buildings and facilities. Ultimately, their experience and continued training in the University water and sewer systems will allow them to meet all state and local requirements and licensing to work on the University's water and sewage systems. They will spend roughly 80% of their time on plumbing work and 20% on water/sewer systems. Also, they must assist with other issues and trades within the DSU Campus Environment Department as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant should possess a High School Diploma or GED
Basic Computer Skills
Applicant should have 2 years trade or technical school with at least 5 years working experience in plumbing field
Possess or required to obtain and maintain a Water, Sewer, Backflow or Plumbing licenses or certificates for the position at the University by a specific date
Must possess a valid PA Driver's License with clean driving record
Capable of working from blueprints, sketches and verbal instruction
Must be able to work independently, using good judgement and demonstrate integrity with minimal supervision
Report PA One Calls and respond to PA Call notices
Maintain Essential Personnel and On-call Status for University
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and work in team environment
Must maintain safe work practices and working areas
Maintain professional attitude and appearance
Perform any other duties required by supervisor or management
