What We Are Looking For

The Mechanical Engineering Department is looking for a Senior Research Engineer who will support the University's mission by performing laboratory/research-related tasks.

An Doctoral Degree, 5 years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith is required.

All applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

Conduct laboratory experiments in developing additive friction stir deposition process conditions
Characterize microstructure of additive friction stir deposition manufactured samples
Perform mechanical testing of additive friction stir deposition manufactured
Use engineering and material science knowledge to design lightweight expeditionary extruded components or additive friction stir deposition structures
Write journal papers based on research results
Write proposals for to secure external funding
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
